ICD & ICCA Forum - Corporate Social Responsibility: Global Opportunities

NOVEMBER 14 - 16, 2008 - Frankfurt am Main/Germany

This unique Forum was presented by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (ICD) in cooperation with the Institute for Corporate Culture Affairs. It engaged highly motivated young professionals with experienced leaders in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR), to examine the rapidly changing landscape of CSR from a global perspective.
The forum examined the different roles of Corporate Social Responsibility, Socially Responsible Investing, and Fourth Sector in highly interactive, hands-on sessions lead by today’s leaders in the public, private and non-profit sectors. German-British Forum - 13th Annual Conference and Gala Dinner on : European Monetary Policy and World Capital Markets

Wednesday 5th November 2008 - Hamburg/ Germany

ICCA proudly supported this unique gathering. The conference was devoted to examine interlinking developments in European monetary and economic policies in the light of strategic and political challenges stemming from the integration of world capital markets. Former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt and former French President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing were among a range of prominent speakers along with prominent CEOs and business leaders from around the world. A Global Economy without Global Standards? Does the Global Economy Require Worldwide Governance, Envrionmental and Human Rights Standards?

This event gathered together opinion formers, business leaders and politicians to discuss the existence and need for global standards in areas such as governance or human rights.

At this event ICCA also launched "The A to Z of CSR: An Encyclopaedia of Corporate Social Responsibility" the first and only dictionary in the area of CSR. This Encyclopaedia contains over 300 terms explained by leading academics and business people such as Jonathan Porritt (Forum for the Future), Mary Robinson (The Ethical Globalization Initiative) or Judge Mervyn King (UN Special Committee on Governance and Oversight).

Corporate Governance in Britain and Germany: Is There a Clash of Cultures between Germany and Britain?

ICCA, in cooperation with the British German Chamber of Commerce, held an event that compared the differing approaches and perspectives on corporate governance from Britain and Germany. The event included a panel discussion with contributions from business people, government representatives and experts from both countries.

Brand and Image in the History of European Business 19/20 March 2007 - Warsaw/Poland

The ICCA's Warsaw symposium on Brand and Image in the History of European Business took place on March 19th and 20th, 2007. Major international companies and renowned academics including, among others, Prof. Bonin, Prof. Segreto and Prof. Barjot presented case studies from luxury goods and fashion to industrial products and automobiles exploring the development of brands and their significance in today's world.

Official launch of the ICCA Handbook on CSR and Corporate Culture
The Reform Club London, 19th October 2006

The ICCA Handbook on CSR and Corporate Culture was officially launched in London on 19th October 2006 in London, UK. This event gathered business leaders from global corporations to share their good practices in the field of CSR and corporate culture within today's business world. Among others, Handbook authors were invited to present their experiences in CSR implementation and share their insights with others.


16th February 2006 - The "Deutschland AG": A Corporate Culture Without a Future?

Background to this event is the break up of the Deutschland AG in recent years and a possible renaissance. A renaissance of the Deutschland AG would not be based on purely economic criteria, but on a specific corporate culture, which influences companies' structures and the business community as a whole. Discussing this topic in a historical context is as important as questioning the consequences for companies' Corporate Social Responsibility practices.
